This is a very sad story for everyone...the family for the loss of their love one and the officers which were placed under the microscope for another persons actions. Perhaps things could have been done differently, but overall it appears that the officers acted accordingly. Mental health is a very difficult thing to respond to for officers, paramedics, firefighters etc. The man in the article here was obviously having a very bad day or several bad days in a row that went under the radar. Keep an eye on your loved ones and catch these problems early before they come to the point they jump out a window!

When someone's under the influence of drugs, it's difficult and dangerous for officers to restrain them. He may have been unarmed, naked, and bleeding, but if he refuses to cooperate and is out of his mind on drugs, then officers probably needed extra help to avoid anyone getting injured including Frechette.
